  1. This picture shows a beach.
  2. There are many people who are happy at the beach.
  3. One boy is catching fish with a net.
  4. There is a family having a picnic. I think they are having sandwiches.
  5. There is a family having a barbecue. I think they are grilling chicken wings and sausages.
  6. Two children are building sand castles. From the expression on their faces, I can tell that they are enjoying themselves.
  7. There are four boys enjoying a game of soccer.
  8. There is a man throwing litter in the bin. I think he is doing the right thing.
  9. In the distance I can see two boats and a kelong.
  10. In conclusion, I feel that many people enjoy going to the beach.

9.    Instead of stopping the fight, they cheered and goaded them on.
10. They engaged in a heated argument when she refused to let the bully place his order first.

5.     Soon, a crowd gathered to witness the heated argument between Mrs. Tan and the rude man.
6.     The burly man gave Mrs. Tan a punch on her face and she fell backwards hitting her head on the wall.
7.     Fresh, red blood oozed down from her forehead.
8.     Someone tried to mediate, but to no avail.
9.     They should not quarrel over a trivial matter.
10.   They shook hands and apologised to each other.

  9. After getting a grip of myself, I bolted down the deserted street.
  10. Although I met with no harm, the thought of the figure still haunts me like a nightmare till this very day.

-Pupils are to hand in the form for P1 registration of siblings. If they have no silings joining the school in 2013, a nil return is required.

Group 3 and 8 to write on Cyber Bullying

Group 5 to write on Copyright
Each pupil is to google or do research on the topic given to the group and hand in the assignment tomorrow.
2. The first 2 sentences of week 1 of the new dictation list are to be learnt.

7-3-12 Informaion for parents

1. Please sign all examination papers and ask your child to return them to their respective subject teachers for checking on Thursday.
2. If there are any errors, please inform the subject teacher by Thursday, 8 March, 2012, 5pm so that ammendments can be made.
3. CA1 English Booklets A and B and CA1 Math papers will be kept by the pupils after the signatures of parents are checked to allow pupils to use these as revision  resources. (If your child did badly, please use the March holidays to help your child to catch up.)
4. Pupils who scored 59 and below for English or Math are to attend remedial lessons on Thursdays from 9.30-11am. This will start in term 2.

Dictation List Week 6 and 7

1.     Ali was howling in pain when he fell to the ground with a loud thud.
2.    The boy turned a deaf ear to his mother when she told him not to cycle too fast.
3.    The car screeched to a sudden stop when the boy ran across the road.
4.    The driver heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that Tom was not badly hurt.
5.    A thousand thoughts raced through his mind as his bike went flying across the road.
6.    The boy was flung onto the ground when he lost control of his bicycle.
7.    His shirt was torn and his shoes were frayed at the edge when he got up from the bushes.
8.    The boys shrieked when their bicycles collided into the tree.
9.    The ambulance arrived soon after and the boys were sent to the hospital for treatment.
10. It was too late. There was a loud explosion and there was smoke everywhere.

1.     While Mother was preparing dinner in the kitchen, Tom was up to his usual mischief.
2.    Tom was bored to tears so he decided to watch some television programmes.  
3.    Tom was very impressed by how his favourite superhero leapt off the building to save someone.  
4.    He was so in awe that he tried to imitate the actions of the superhero.
5.    He wanted to perform a heroic deed too.
6.    He stacked a stool on top of the table and climbed up as he pretended to be the hero in the cartoon.
7.    He jumped off the stool without hesitation.
8.    He landed heavily on the concrete floor and sprained his ankle.
9.    He yelped in pain as he limped to the kitchen to inform his Mother about the injury.
10. The injury was a painful lesson for Tom.
